Horsforth Walk of Art

The Horsforth Walk of Art returns to its routes for 2026.

The popular Horsforth Walk of Art is looking forward to welcoming both new and returning visitors to its vibrant creative arts festival across the weekend of 4–5 July 2026, from 11am–4pm each day.

The event will showcase a diverse range of artistic works, including crafts, exhibitions, workshops and live performances, providing an accessible cultural experience for the local community and visitors alike. Spanning multiple welcoming venues throughout the pretty Domesday book town, the trail encourages attendees to explore Horsforth while fully engaging with the festival atmosphere.
The festival offers the chance to experience work from both local and visiting artists, with opportunities to meet the makers and, in many cases, have a go themselves.

Kezia Roberts from the Walk of Art said:
“We are proud that our festival is run for the people of Horsforth, by the people of Horsforth, and aims to involve as many people as possible. We have a wonderful outreach programme with local schools where our artists are given the opportunity to teach within these educational settings. We have held multiple community events for makers and creators to get involved in crafting bunting and knitted creatures to hide along the coloured routes.

“This year, we have also been supported by students from Trinity University, who have been interviewing some of our artists for promotional content in the run-up to the festival.
“We are excited that our sponsorship and grants continue to be supported by wonderful local businesses and community groups in Horsforth. With special thanks to Dudleys Engineering, Zero Muda, Number Train, Manning Stainton, Old Skool Anthems, Horsforth Lottery, and all the fantastic community members who have donated.”

When asked why they support the Walk of Art, Dudleys Engineering said:
“Horsforth is home for us. Many of our team live locally, so supporting the Horsforth Walk of Art means a great deal to us. It’s a brilliant event that brings the community together, celebrates local creativity and shines a spotlight on everything that makes Horsforth such a special community.”

Music will once again play an important role in the festival, with performances from clarinet ensembles, choirs, and a very special concert at The Grove on Saturday 4 July at 1pm by internationally acclaimed pianist, composer and improviser Yuanfan Yang, celebrated for his creative and distinctive musical voice. This performance has been kindly arranged and sponsored by Deborah Pennington of Musical Moments.

There is also an opportunity to join an orchestra for the day with Horsforth Music School at St Margaret’s Church on Saturday 4 July. visit horsforth.music.centre@leeds.gov.uk
