The People’s Emergency Briefing (12A)
This new film from the National Emergency Briefing sets out the risks facing the nation – and the credible, positive responses available – in a clear and accessible account. To help further support this screenings we’re excited to be joined by ‘The Futurenauts’ for a special live recording of their podcast as part of the screening.
Comedian Jon Richardson and ‘The Futurenauts’ Ed Gillespie and Mark Stevenson, got together in 2019 to find engaging and entertaining ways to talk about the challenges of the future that people might actually want to listen to. Six series and dozens of episodes of their hit podcast later, they are still at it!
Jon’s ‘everyman’ humour and curiosity combines with Ed and Mark’s deep knowledge and experience of all things sustainability to create shows that love wrestling with the most difficult conversations we all need to have, whilst also laughing in the face of adversity. It’s systems thinking for people down the pub. You’ll cry (definitely), you’ll laugh (hopefully) and you’ll want to live your life (differently).
This event has been made possible by Business Declares, Greenpeace and the UK Green Film Network.
Schedule:
8pm – Doors
8.30pm – Showtime with introduction
8.50pm – Film Starts
9.40pm – Post film responses and Q&A
